Crafted in the early 20th century and presented in a white painted finish. Formed in a mixture of Georgian, Regency and Neoclassical styles, this piece is profusely carved throughout.
Impressive columns topped with ionic capitals front the jambs, topped with carvings of urns in high relief. The frieze is centred with a woman between two putti who appear to be serving her.
Egg and dart moulding runs under the mantel which has a fine bead design along the lip.
