About the collection
Holkham Hall is one of the most prestigious houses in the UK with a rich history dating back to the early 17th century.
Founded by the Coke family, Holkham Hall’s illustrious Neo-Palladian style villa began construction in 1734.
Designed by owner of the hall, Thomas Coke, 1st Earl of Leicester (1697-1759), alongside Lord Burlington and architects, William Kent and Matthew Brettinghan, the main hall was completed in 1764 and remains to this day one of England’s finest examples of Palladian revival architecture.
