Questions answered…
What does Kerbside Delivery mean?
This means that the vehicle will arrive and park as close to your property as possible. All of our lorries are fitted with tail-lifts. The pallet (a wooden frame or crate containing your purchase) will be lowered to the ground and moved a short distance to a convenient location where practical. Pallets cannot be moved on unlevel or uneven ground, they cannot be moved over gravel or soil.
Where delivery has to be on a street, the pallet will be left for you to unload by hand.
The customer will be left to dispose of any packaging materials and pallets used in making the delivery unless specific arrangements have been made prior.
Where delivery is with a van courier, our driver will usually endeavor to leave your purchase in a safe and convenient location.
International Deliveries
We export our items all over the world, we generally use https://www.transglobalexpress.co.uk who deliver via UPS, DHL, Fedex and TNT networks.
We generate a personalised quotation, reflecting Transglobal’s online quote. We then take into consideration labour and materials required for packing. We make custom timber crates on site.
Delivery can be anything between 7- and 30 working days. We supply you with a tracking number once it has been booked and taken from our yard, so that you can follow the delivery online.
Prices include all costs associated with getting your purchase outside of the UK, they do not include customs fees or other duties and taxes which may be due in the destination country.
Returns
No goods will be accepted for credit, replacement or repair unless previously agreed in writing. At our discretion a handling charge in respect of returned goods shall be levied at 20% of the invoice value. Return transport costs shall be borne by the customer who must ensure goods are packaged in a suitable manor. No goods shall be accepted for return after a period of seven working days after delivery.
The vast majority of the goods we sell are reclaimed, salvaged or antique. It is the customers sole responsibility to satisfy themselves that the condition, quality, and function of any goods are suitable for the purpose intended at the time of purchase.
