UK Heritage is a seller of premium architectural antiques. Founded in 2006, our 15,000 sq. ft reclamation yard in rural Herefordshire is home to our Heritage Galleries, showrooms and spacious warehouse, filled to the brim with hand-picked architectural antiques steeped in history.

2006
UK Heritage is Founded
After leaving university, Ben Couchman establishes UK Architectural Heritage in an old 18th century barn in the scenic rural countryside of Wormelow, Herefordshire. Known today as ‘Grove Barn’, this same building still forms part of our extensive 15,000 sq/ft site to this very day.

2008
Our First Showroom
Starting out with less than 100 pieces of stock, UK Heritage rapidly expands, opening a showroom alongside Grove Barn dedicated to quality antiques and reclaimed fireplaces. At the same time, Ben also introduces his carefully-sourced architectural antiques to the online and international market, setting up the very first UK Heritage website.

2010
Workshop Opens
UK Heritage opens a specialist in-house workshop, enabling more antiques destined for disuse to be respectfully restored, ready for reuse in interiors and gardens across the UK and further afield.

2015
A New Warehouse
Almost 10 years after Ben founded UK Architectural Heritage, our reclamation yard in Herefordshire houses more than 1000 pieces. The site expands again, opening a brand new warehouse, offering more fascinating items than ever before.

Heritage Galleries
With more than 2500 antiques in-stock, 3 large modern warehouses and a dedicated UK Heritage team, our first floor showroom is transformed into a dedicated gallery space known as ‘Heritage Galleries’. This area showcases our most premier stock, each item brought to life with our signature blue backdrop.

Future Plans
Sourcing quality architectural antiques and unique decorative pieces is Ben’s speciality. Our home in Herefordshire
Our impressive 15,000 sq/ft rural site in Herefordshire is one of the largest salvage yards in the UK, home to more than 2,500 antiques. Arranged around a courtyard, it includes an old 18th century barn and our dedicated Heritage Gallery showrooms as well as three large, modern warehouses, full to the brim with historical pieces. It only takes a quick walk around our spectacular showrooms to be enthused by our remarkable items, each hand-picked by our founder Ben for its beauty and provenance.

Our list of previous customers is quite impressive too, having worked with Netflix, Claridge’s, Chelsea Flower Show and Warner Brothers, just to name a few.

We Don’t Buy New
Sustainability is the beating heart of our business and in a world full of waste, we don’t want to contribute. Our antiques are hand-picked, salvaged from disuse and – when required – sympathetically restored by our specialist team so that the beauty of each architectural antique can be enjoyed for many more years to come.
