19th Century Georgian English Pine Fire Surround

Handcrafted circa 1870 in the Georgian/Neoclassical style, presented in a waxed finish.

Cascading bell shaped flowers decorate the top of the jambs, topped with oval flowers in each corner.

The inside opening has a highly detailed foliage carving around the entire piece.

The frieze is centred with a plaque showing dancing putti playing instruments, flanked with symmetrical floral and ribbon themes.

Above, a beaded moulding topped splits the deep shelf.
