Handcrafted circa 1900 in the Georgian/Neoclassical style, presented in a waxed finish.
This large scale fireplace has a multiple layers of detail, resembling a marble fire surround of which it may be based on.
The jambs incorporate a dog-leg design, carved around the internal edge. The frieze has an intricately carved floral arrangement supporting a band of dental moulding.
The centrepiece is flanked with deep carved foliage with further rows of carvings below the mantle.
