About this piece
back to topA handsome set of late 18th/early 19th century Georgian solid mahogany and veneered mahogany decorative wall hanging panels, each with a roundel to the centre depicting a profile portrait of a neoclassical figure.Â
One depicts a female figure wearing a wheat sheaf headdress looking to the right, while the other depicts a male figure wearing a vine and berry headdress looking to the left. A complementary pair, both roundels sit within a geometric outer frame ornamented with roundels to the corners.
Fitted with wire to the reverse ready for hanging, these antique mahogany wall panels will make stunning decoration on an interior wall with their depth of colour, fine craftsmanship and classical subject.
