Each profile portrait depicts a medieval style figure within a roundel between foliate corners. One details a short-haired figure with headband while the other details a figure with long flowing hair, possibly noblemen or scholars.
Over 325 years old, these antique carved oak panels offer a glimpse into the styles and craftsmanship of early 18th century France. Though they are centuries old, the carvings are still clear and distinguishable, today making handsome heritage pieces for an interior wall.
