back to topA charming set of two late 17th/early 18th century medieval style French carved oak panels depicting two profile portraits in a Romayne-type design.
Each profile portrait depicts a medieval style figure within a roundel between foliate corners, one detailing a king with crown and the other wearing a helmet style hat, possibly a soldier.
Over 325 years old, these antique carved oak panels offer a glimpse into the styles and craftsmanship of early 18th century France. Though they are centuries old, the carvings are still clear and distinguishable, today making handsome heritage pieces for an interior wall.
