This winged Putti or angel skilfully carved in high relief from a deeply coloured mahogany. The head has flowing hair intertwined with flowers. The wings below are flowing and layered with intricate details.
Reclaimed from a cabinet showcased in the second Swiss national exhibition of 1896 in Geneva. It was at this event that the automobile was introduced to Switzerland for the first time!
