About this piece
back to topA large reclaimed stained glass window depicting the arms of the diocese of York. The panel details an armorial crest to the central roundel within a repeating rectangular patterned glass window bordered with red and green.
To the centre of the window is a deep blue shield featuring a pair of crossed keys below a crown representing St. Peter who is the dedicated Saint of York Minster. The term ‘see of’ in ‘See of York’ refers to the Bishop’s seat at the cathedral of York Minster.
This is one of four similar stained glass panels we are selling commemorating the cathedrals and churches of the East of England.
