About this piece

Two large and beautifully detailed late 20th century contemporary framed prints of Romanesque capitals on a white mount housed within a glazed satin black frame.

These are just two of 5 similar prints we are selling, the others sold separately as another pair and a single.

The prints capture the details of an example of a different neoclassical architecture in fine black lines on off-white paper, each a reproduction print taken from an earlier architectural drawing.

These examples showcase a Romanesque capital from the Germanisches Nationalmuseum, Nuremberg, decorated with scrolling foliage, and a further illustration of an ionic capital with its notable scrolls, egg and dart details and anthemion decoration.
