back to topA charming pair of antique lifesize lead garden herons standing on circular composition stone bases, dating from the early 20th century.
These tall and elegant heron sculptures each have naturalistic stances – one with neck raised and beak lifted into the air, the other with neck low and foot raised as if on the move – and there is an intentional slight bounce to them which adds a little bit of movement in a waterside breeze!
They’d be best suited to a sheltered outdoor location such as a summerhouse porch or garden room. You can just imagine them near a pond or in a lakeside garden, just as real life herons would be found in nature.
