Selenite, also known as satin spar, desert rose, or gypsum flower are four crystal structure varieties of the mineral gypsum.
These specimens are found around the world, from the deserts of Mexico to the Sahara desert. Some are even found in USA in shallow basins.
Mounted on a plinth, this interesting formation would make for a decorative piece on display in any home, or perhaps for a collector.
