About this piece
back to topA large and very deep antique English oak fire surround ornately handcarved throughout including neoclassical caryatids to the jambs, carved mouldings to the edges and a lion mask to the central frieze.
Though it was crafted in the late 19th century, this antique oak fireplace will make an impressive feature in any property as it encompasses a wide range of styles, incorporating Jacobean, Tudor and neoclassical style elements.
The detailed and intricate carvings are complemented by the oak which is finished in a beautiful dark stain that further enhances its unique appeal.
Large in scale and gloriously deep, this oak fireplace will look stunning at the chimneypiece of a spacious room. Should it be needed to fit a smaller space, the depth could be reduced by up to approximately 22cm (8.66in) and the foot blocks at the base reduced to lower the overall height.
