Good structural condition. No visible breaks. Smalls chips and scuffs to larger chips. The white passion flower by Maw & Co has the most surface wear and is unglazed.

Dating to between circa 1860 to 1880, these encaustic English 6 inch tiles are of Pugin style and are detailed with various patterns and colours. One displays a striking passion flower while others show stylised star like floral patterns.

Varying between glazed and unglazed, these impressive tiles have a characterful, timeworn look that only enhances their beauty.
