An antique Italian white statuary and red jasper marble fire surround dating to circa 1760.
This unusual fireplace has a petite stature and unique style. You can just imagine it as a central piece in the reception room of a Neoclassical or Baroque style townhouse or country property.
The moulded shelf sits above a curved frieze centred by a Bacchic mask while the jambs and corbels are carved with trailing stylised vines and grapes.
