About this piece
back to topA late 19th century English mahogany Chippendale style fire surround with French polish and wax finish. Evocative of Georgian era designs, this antique fireplace is crafted in the style of famed furniture designer, Thomas Chippendale (1718-1779).
Pairing functionality with style, this beautiful fire surround is carved with elaborate fretwork around the opening and an equally as ornate frieze below the shelf lined with dentils, all complemented by the rich tones of the mahogany.
