About this piece
back to topA tall antique Jacobean style carved oak fireplace with overmantel reclaimed from a manor house in Suffolk. Impressive in style and stature, this fireplace dates from the late 19th century but encompasses earlier Tudor and Jacobean styles. Today, it makes a prestigious feature in the main room of a large period property, its solid oak construction and rich wood colour complimenting traditional styles.
To the top is a spectacularly carved panel detailed with scrolling fruits and foliage with masks above a larger panel carved with grand columns and arches with the shelf and a large fireplace opening below, framed by two column-like jambs.
