About this piece

A 19th century Victorian wrought iron side gate.

Crafted by skilled blacksmiths in circa 1870, this gate incorporates multiple styles and techniques. Centred around a flower in bloom, the base of the gate has a tight bar spacing ideal for pet owners.

The three centre bars have a distinct and precise wave, giving a deliberate artistic appeal. The curved bars continue to the mid-section of the gate, offset by twisted spikes.

The floral centrepiece is topped with a row of spikes, contrasted by upside down heart shaped scrolls. The gate would suit all kinds of property, modern and traditional alike.
