back to topA tall wrought iron antique gate with an unusual design, formerly a window grill from Templeton House, a 240-year-old Georgian Mansion in London.
The house was named after its first occupant, Lady Elizabeth Templeton, in 1786. Elizabeth had created designs for the famous English potter, Josiah Wedgewood, making a name for herself as a designer.
Another significant occupant of the home was a young Winston Churchill. Churchill resided there in 1919 while the building was owned by his cousin. The Grade II listed home later served as a hospital.
Templeton House has an impressive architectural history and has recently undergone a full restoration.
This gate is a repurposed piece of Templeton’s history, ready to add security and interest to a contemporary garden seeking unique architectural features. We have one similar gate available under Stock No. 32038.
