Good structural condition. Off-white painted finish to one side, pink painted finish to the other. Oak frame and pine panel construction. Old paint, chipped in places. Small losses to the timber. Parts of original hardware. Rebated.

These tall Louis XVI style antique room dividing doors are one of various sets reclaimed from the American Embassy in Paris. This set features an off-white paint finish to one side and pink paint to the moulding on reverse.

Dating from circa 1870, these antique doors are generous in size, showcasing the grandeur and opulence of 19th century French interior design. Each door is detailed with three raised and fielded moulded panels to both sides with parts of the elaborate original hardware still present.
