About this piece
back to topA small antique Tudor style stained glass window panel.
Although the panel displays the date ‘1535’ it was likely produced in the early 20th century, circa 1920.
The Latin words at the bottom translate to ‘in the year of the lord. 1535’ – the year Henry VIII declared himself Head of the Church of England.
With handpainted battle scenes displayed to the top right and left corners, this piece is beautifully vibrant and rich in colour with lots of symbols throughout.
The window is supplied with a customer made freestanding oak display frame ready to be flooded with daylight.
