About this piece
back to topA large set of English Victorian stone finials or pier caps with red sandstone tops and York stone bases.
The red sandstone finials at the top were reputedly from the estate of Sir Robert Peel (1788-1850) who lived on the Drayton Manor Estate before it became a theme park. Peel was British Prime Minister from August 1841 to June 1846 and founded the London Metropolitan Police Force during his time as Home Secretary.
Each pier cap is comprised of 3 pieces which together stand at 1.3m tall (4ft) that will make an impressive feature atop pilasters either side of a grand set of driveway gates.
