A beautiful collection of three large cabinet mineral specimens including amethyst, blue celestite and limonite quartz presented on our medium painted plaster bases. Together, these specimens form a vibrant collection for display, showcasing beautiful colours and shapes formed by nature over millions of years. More details on the individual specimens below:

A: Limonite Quartz plate specimen from Solwezi, Zambia

The golden orange-yellow colour of this spectacular crystal specimen is intense and vibrant. In rare instances, limonite occurs alongside quartz, creating striking specimens with a permanent colour. These specimens are found in complex vug-like chambers in a host matrix.

B: Amethyst Vug Geode from Mumbwe, Zambia

A complex vug amethyst specimen with lots of large crystals and a variable intensity of purple colour throughout. Sourced from Mumbwe, Kolomo region, Zambia.

C: Blue Celestite specimen from Sakoany, Madagascar.

Named for its delicate pale sky-blue colour, blue celestite minerals from Madagascar are considered some of the finest. It is said that the Sakoany deposits of Madagascan celestite were first discovered by a cattle herder who found crystals on the shore of the bay.
