This late 19th century piece combines red, yellow and blue glass to cast a pleasing shadow. The leadwork is clean and precise, forming a symmetrical grid, painted with scrolling acanthus leaves.
A handpainted roundel at the centre depicts a maiden with flowing yellow hair, crowned with foliage and flowers.
The window is as reclaimed, housed in its deep original framework. It is one of four similar stained glass panels we are selling. The window could be used as a standalone piece or together with one or more of the others to create a stunning set of complementary windows in a room or throughout a property.
