Reclaimed Fragments of Religious Artworks After Matteo di Pacino

A pair of reclaimed fragments of religious artworks after Matteo di Pacino, originally part of a triptych. Painted to a high standard onto paper and affixed to a shaped wooden board.

The left panel shows from top to bottom the Virgin Annunciate, Saints Onophrius and Paphnutius, and Saint Onophrius Buried by Saint Paphnutius.

On the right side, the stories depicted from the top down are: the Annunciatory Angel, Crucified Christ with the Virgin, Saints Mary Magdalen and John, and Christ as the Man of Sorrows.

The original is held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Matteo di Pacino was an Italian painter of the fourteenth century, known to be active between 1359 to 1394.
