A set of 4 large scale English antique terracotta garden urns or planters by Lambton Firebrick and Sanitary Pipe Works circa 1910. To find four huge 100-year-old antique terracotta planters like this in such good condition is very rare.

Each is of a matching design with an octagonal shaped rim and scrolling handles to two sides above floral garlands, gadrooning and an octagonal socle base. The terracotta is of beautiful quality and colour, making for impressive ornaments or flower planters in large gardens and countryside estates.

Lambton Firebrick & Sanitary Pipe Works

Based in Fence Houses near Durham, Lambton (1894-1960) were manufacturers of high-quality fireclay goods including bricks and pipe work. While they are known for their bricks, these are the only planters by the company that we have seen.
