Transports as 2 pieces. Fixed to wall with a custom-made metal bracket; this is included. Small chips and losses, particularly to the edges. Fine surface cracks. Structurally sound. Backed with a mixture of fibrous plaster and fibreglass for strength.

A large and intricately detailed plaster sculpture of a street scene by celebrated British sculptor, Paul Day. Thought to be an original maquette – a model for a larger piece of sculpture or a later bronze – this 3D wall sculpture reflects Day’s unusual artistic approach to perspective for which he is much admired. It is handmade by the artist and stands at over 2m tall, depicting multiple figures walking through a street among tall buildings in incredible levels of detail. Signed and dated ‘91’, it is typical of Day’s unique style. Similar artworks of his include Metropolitana and Down Town.

Paul Day

The work of sculptor Paul Day is exhibited widely all over Europe and across the globe. Born in 1967, Day is an established British sculptor known for his distinguished artistic style. Specialising in detailed high-relief works, Day creates figurative sculptures in terracotta, resin and bronze. Some of his most famous works include ‘The Meeting Place’ at St. Pancras Station and the Battle of Britain Monument overlooking the River Thames, London.
