About this piece
back to topA pair of wrought iron Victorian driveway gates with spears dating back to circa 1890. This large English pair of gates are topped with spear finials and finished with a recent coat of shining black paint. Their working latch can be padlocked to accompany its working stay. Original, handmade and handworked, these impressive gates are traditionally made in wrought iron by a 19th century blacksmith. The detailed joints further indicate the true craftsmanship, looking striking at the entrance to a large house or estate.
