About this piece
back to topDating from the late 19th century, this pair of terracotta garden urns are a beautiful addition to an English country garden. They are made in red terracotta and have a dark patination in places that indicates their age. Each are intricately designed with egg and dart moulding around the top, uniform gadrooning beneath the bowls with tapering socles and stand upon rectangular pedestals with rusticated patterning on all four sides. As a pair, they can be placed either side of an entrance or walkway in a formal garden, making a beautiful feature on their own or planted with an abundance of colourful flowers.
