A pair of antique buff terracotta urns stamped Henry Sharp & Jones, Poole, Dorset. Dating from circa 1880, this stunning set of antique garden urns are beautifully made, each bowl formed of flared terracotta floral petals which sit on impressive rectangular bases with maze-like etchings.

Georgian in style, each antique urn is of a matching design which is simple yet elegant, featuring characteristic weathering and a neutral buff terracotta colour which would look striking as ornamental elements of any garden.

Henry Sharp, Jones & Co.

Henry Sharp, Jones & Company Ltd. established Bourne Valley Potteries, Dorset, in 1853. At first, the company worked only clay in the immediate neighbourhood, then in 1886, some additional clay lands were acquired in Bourne Bottom.

Sharp, Jones & Co. Ltd. closed on 1st January, 1958.
