Both statues are situated on integral circular socles impressed with the maker’s mark: JOHN MATTHEWS ROYAL POTTERY WESTON SUPER MARE. An example of the female statue, also known as The huntress can be found in the collection of North Somerset Council. They are dated between 1871 – 1888.
