About this piece

A pair of eye-catching 2.48m tall 19th century gilt and polychrome painted neoclassical style ionic column pilasters. Further set available under Stock No. 37239.

Though these reclaimed pilasters date from around 1850, they will make a spectacular architectural addition to any interior. They will add instant grandeur to any room with their vibrant gilt colour and tops modelled as scrolling ionic greek capitals with egg and dart, reel and bead and floral detail.

You can just imagine these column-style pilasters either side of a chimneypiece or doorway in a large house with gloriously high ceilings. Alternatively, they could be used with the additional set along the corridors of a long hallway or placed between rows of large windows.
