A spectacular large scale late Georgian fireplace in the neoclassical style. Made in pine, this antique fire surround is highly ornate, deeply carved in high relief throughout. It is detailed with scrolling florals to the frieze and jambs, vases to the end blocks below a striking mantel embellished with dentals, egg and dart, bead and barrel and stylised lambs tongue moulding. Thanks to its scale and design, this Georgian fireplace is an impressive addition to a period property or traditional townhouse, looking particularly striking in a large, spacious room. It is painted white and has various layers of old paint.
