About this piece
back to topA Louis XV style white marble fireplace. This French piece of craftsmanship is no doubt an ode to French King Louis XV. Its curved frieze and sturdy jambs are recognisable to this style. It would look stunning in a larger room of a period townhouse or country home. Dating back to 1890, this fireplace is made from breccia marble – a marble that was formed over 205 million years ago and typical of the Brescia area, Italy, one of the oldest to be extracted.
