Condition Report

Good structural condition. Minor surface wear, scuffs, scratches and small chips. Fitted with original cast iron wastes. Transports as 3 pieces. More wear to the left basin than right. One sink deeper than the other. Sink can be turned 180 degrees and positioned the other way round if desired but there is more wear to the back face. Positioned as pictured, there are 4 small indentations from the firing process on the right side – we have 4 ceramic covers for these which can be glued in place once fitted.

This antique utility sink features two laundry style Belfast basins – one deeper than the other – each large in size, offering plenty of wash space for a range of jobs. Both are fitted with an original cast iron waste. This large and substantial double basin stands on two matching glazed stoneware legs, creating a traditional, country house look that’ll add instant style to any kitchen.

Shanks & Co

Shanks & Co Ltd was founded by John Shanks in partnership with his brother Andrew in 1851 and quickly became an iconic British company.
