About this piece
back to topThis huge 20th century stone trilobite sculpture is a simply spectacular object. Circa 1920, it is by the Dudley artist, John Vernon, and was possibly a commissioned piece for a city park. It depicts the distinct form of a prehistoric trilobite, its scalloped form deeply carved into grey blue sandstone. Thanks to its weight, scale and grandeur, this large trilobite sculpture has a huge, monolith-like presence, becoming a focal point of any outdoor space! It could sit above the ground or be set into the ground.
We are also selling a large stone clam shell sculpture by the same artist.
Note: This is a very large, heavy piece. Before purchasing, handling arrangements must be confirmed.
