About this piece
back to topHistoric London Street Plaque Dated 1706. The stone plaque reads “Crowne Cowrt in Poltney Street 1706” in gold lettering and it has been mounted onto a bespoke steel stand. We believe this relates to the Pulteney Street area in London when the Crown took possession of the land in 1699. Part of an area rebuilt after the Great Fire of London. It is an intriguing piece worthy of further research.
