Condition Report

Most of the tiles have been fractured and reformed. Small repainted area near the base below his right foot. Backed on a oak timber frame. Has a hanging wire. Tiles appear well adhered.

Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses, scuffs, and scratches.

A framed set of twelve 18th century Delft tiles depicting Jesus.

Crafted circa 1700, this set of manganese delft style tiles, hand painted and glazed with the scene of the crucifixion.

The cross is set into a valley scene with buildings off to the distance. The figure is robed with a flowing cloth.

The cross is marked with INRI.

The tiles are bound to an oak grid and are very secure, however multiple stable cracks do run throughout the piece.
