About this piece

A vibrant ecclesiastical stained glass window depicting a religious scene dating from the mid 20th century. This beautiful stained glass window is one of four we are offering for sale, originally installed at the former parish church in Glenlivet, Scotland. It details a Christian scene in bold and vibrant colours in a modern depiction of the first communion.

This stained glass window is by Charles W. Florence (signed), an artist and former Principal Teacher of Art at the high school in the burgh town of Buckie on the north Scottish coast. It is comprised of 5 individual panels which together create an impressive arched window that stands at just over 3 metres tall. Today, it is a stunning feature for a sympathetically decorated converted chapel or ecclesiastical building, looking striking on its own or paired with the other stained glass windows from the church in Glenlivet.
