About this piece
back to topA complete early 20th century garden dining table and four chairs made from teak taken from reclaimed war ships, attributed to Heals of London. This functional teak garden dining set is innovatively designed; the four chairs tucking perfectly beneath the tabletop when not in use.
This set is in good, complete condition and steeped in history.
In the 20th century, companies would dismantle obsolete warships and the wood from these ships was transformed into furniture and garden items; this item is known as a ship breaker table.
