About this piece

A rare and very unusual antique glazed stoneware dairy table, painted with the word ‘Cream’ circa 1880. This is just one of a series of similar diary tables we are selling sourced from an English country house.

You can just imagine this dairy table laid out in the larder of a country house pantry; the glazed stoneware surface cool to the touch, keeping pitchers of fresh cream chilled, ready for the supper of the Lords and the Ladies of the house that evening.

Steeped in history, this antique dairy table is unlike anything we have seen before, making it a very rare and unusual find. In today’s interiors, it will make an interesting feature of a modern pantry, country kitchen or larder. Best suited to indoor use, it could even be used as a unique bench seat for an entrance hall or boot room.

Style alone as a talking point or together with others we are selling as a statement piece!
