About this piece
back to topA contemporary mythical beast stained glass grisaille panel after the antique.
This high quality replica is taken from a wider rose window, of which this is one of the petals. The original is housed in the Klosterkirche St. Marien church, Schulpforte (near Bad Kösen), Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.
The glass is formed in a heart shaped medieval-style grisaille, featuring painted contorted mythical or beast-like heads with floral and leaf motifs throughout.
Crafted using traditional techniques with a high level of skill and detail.
