Blacknite Quartz Cluster Specimen

An unusual blacknite quartz cluster specimen with covelline and bornite from Ambositra, Madagascar, presented on one of our museum-quality painted plaster bases.
Blacknite is a beautiful mineral of the goethite/hematite variety, displaying a natural iridescence of colours across the crystals including pink, purple, black, yellow and blue. Blacknite specimens like this one with beautiful crystal clusters in superb iridescent colours can only be found in the Ambositra mine, Madagascar and another specific mine in South Africa.
This striking and unusual specimen comes with an exclusive painted plaster plinth as pictured, making a striking feature of a collector’s cabinet.
