George Wright & Co, Rotherham

George Wright & Co was established in Rotherham in 1861, having previously traded as Crichley, Wright & Co from 1854. The business incorporated into a limited company in 1905.

The firm manufactured a range of decorative cast iron pieces including stoves, ventilation grates, chimneypieces, gates, railings and various other works of ironmongery.

George Wright Ltd continued production into the 20th century; an advertisement from the South Yorkshire Times can be seen in the 1st June 1979 edition.
