Antique Red Sandstone Lion Statue

This red sandstone lion statue has stood the test of time for more than 180 years. Over the decades, the elements have weathered its surface with a beautiful, aged finish that only time can create. Yet the details of the lion, hand carved by a craftsman many years ago, remain intact, displaying the lion’s striking character. It is designed in a sitting position – known in heraldry as sejant – and is of good scale, making a handsome statue, ornament or sculpture in a garden or interior.
