Condition Report

Good structural condition. Transports as one piece. There are chips to the base and one chip worth noting on the inside edge of the bowl. The bowl displays a discolouration to the base of the interior with an even crazing.

Gunnar Wennerberg (1863-1914)

An established artist in France, Sweden and beyond, Gunnar Wennerberg was commissioned by the Gustavsberg Porcelain Factory to contribute new ideas and designs of high artistic quality to put the company at the top of the industry in 1895, leading to his new title of artist director until 1908.

Planters such as this were designed with extraordinary care and detail incorporating both neoclassical and Art Nouveau styles.
