About this piece
back to topAn antique French Jacob Delafon large pedestal sink.
This generously sized basin is over one meter wide, with a large flat surface around the bowl for accessories.
Dating back to the early 20th century, each side of the glazed stoneware has holes for mounting additional towel rails if desired.
This piece would make a commanding feature in an open plan bathroom. The gentle curvature of the perimeter are subtle enough to suit a traditional setting, without being out of place in a more modern property.
Jacob Delafon
Émile Jacob joined forces with Maurice Delafon in 1889 to create the company Jacob Delafon. Jacob was behind the brand’s early innovations and flagship products. Delafon distributed on a massive scale, helping to make sanitaryware accessible to the many instead of the few.
This antique sink is a part of this duos valuable heritage in the bathroom industry.
