back to topA very rare antique Italian garden bench with an adjustable canvas canopy and reversible back rest, circa 1890. You can just imagine this interesting and unusual garden bench overlooking a pond or riverbank, providing a tranquil spot to watch the water, take in nature or delve into a good book.
This antique garden bench comprises of an oak seat and back within an iron frame, sturdily cast with the Italian foundry maker’s mark to either side. The green canvas canopy with can be adjusted as desired to create shade or increase sunshine (see photos) via a working crank mechanism.
